Happy holidays! I spent a number of Christmas breaks playing PC games like MechWarrior 2: 31st Century Combat and its expansions, Ghost Bear’s Legacy and Mercenaries. Those were good times! And now with MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, I have the opportunity to create new memories with a brand new mech simulator. It looks like a fine installment in the MechWarrior franchise but there’s something about it that doesn’t sit right with me. They seemed to have nailed the mech sim part but everything else seems lacklustre.
