After witnessing Doom’s outstanding reception, I think it’s safe to say that Bethesda knows a thing or two about handling id Software’s classic franchises. I’ve heard nothing but glowing impressions of Doom and I look forward to picking it up later this year when it hits a more reasonable price. Playing Doom with a controller will be a little weird but I played the Doom I & II with a keyboard and no music so it could be worse. I haven’t revisited Doom III but I recall enjoying it more than Half-Life 2 which may sound blasphemous to some people but I’m going to stand by it. At least Doom didn’t have a nauseatingly long hovercraft section.
